On South Beach Diet
Written by maialancholy on June 17th, 2008The hubby and I are on a crusade to living healthier lives. After gaining a few pounds (alright, a lot of pounds) right after we got married, this is the only time we can really go into a diet since I’m no longer breastfeeding. Diets are more successful if you have a diet buddy, and who else fit the bill best than my husband?
Husbands love your Wife, Wives respect your Husband
Written by maialancholy on June 16th, 2008It is already very common nowadays for husbands and wives to divorce, separate, or annul their marriages. Unlike a generation ago, separation would have been taboo. But being common doesn’t always mean it’s right. It’s sad to see friends or even family members end their marriages just because. Kids (if there are any involve) always are on the losing end, no matter how civil the parents become or agree to become. It’s just really sad.

Last night, the hubby and I were working on our web projects. He has been adamant that I consistently update my blog. Of course I naturally resisted thinking I don’t really have anything to write about, and sometimes, I suck at writing. I go around in circles and make no point at all. I never really had confidence in my writing, having been a frustrated one growing up. I was a regular contestant in writing contests - poetry, short stories, essays. I never really won any award much more get some recognition. I was part of the school paper, but heck, as a lowly Health and Science Reporter. Glam, I know…
What is your nature?

This morning I chanced upon something that made me pause and think for a while. Sometimes we become so independent that we forget we are reliant on God’s grace. We try so much to be on our own and act as if we don’t need anything from God. Sometimes we just can’t help it, it’s in our nature.
